counting Cards and Then Counting winnings
Online blackjack is much the same as any regular blackjack game. And once the basic blackjack strategies are learned, like counting cards, there are advanced tips that will make online blackjack that much more profitable. Some of the best card counters in online blackjack have teamed up and offered their blackjack info for anybody to use. With their blackjack strategies, everybody can be a winner.
The first blackjack strategy is to remember that there is a time and a place for insurance. When the dealer is showing an ace, the typical blackjack move is to avoid taking insurance as is usually the case, the decision costs money. But for the card counting expert, if the deck is positive (has a lot of 10s) it might be profitable to take the insurance. If the count is at least +four, still take the insurance against the ace, which is typically a bold blackjack strategy.
The second blackjack strategy is knowing when to stand with the unpredictable 16. any blackjack player with the smallest amount of knowledge about the game knows to hit when there is a total of 16 against the dealer if the dealer is showing anything from 7 to an ace as the up card. But, if counting cards, and the deck is positive, even if there is one more 10 left than normal, it is best to stand on 16 against the dealers 10. This goes against typical blackjack strategies, but could be more profitable than taking a card, which has a higher likelihood of being a 10 and being busted. Do not ask to hit when there is a 16 showing and the dealer has a 10 up card if the count is +1 or higher.
Third, much like the previous blackjack strategy, this one os to stand with a 15 when against a 10 up card. Most online blackjack players blindly hit when put in a tough position such as this one. But remember, if the count is high enough, the correct play becomes to stand with a 15. In this case, a higher count is required compared to when in the 16 vs. 10 spot. As long as the count is 4 or higher, it is not smart to hit to a 10 up card. Stand on a 15 against the dealer's 10 when the count is equal to or higher than +4.
Believe it or not, the fourth blackjack strategy is to split 10s. It's usually a bold, and often drunk, move to split two 10s. However, when playing online blackjack, this is sometimes a great move to make. When the dealer is showing a 6, they are already in the worst possible spot. And should there be a number of 10s left to draw; the dealer is in even worse position that any chances should be maximized. More often than not, the dealer busts. Or, the two tens have the potential of hitting more tens, doubling the winnings. Split 10s against when the count is +5 or more.
Finally, the last blackjack strategy for any card counter is much like the previous one as well. The player should split their 10s when faced with a 5 on the dealer's up card. In this case, a higher count of 10s needs to be showing. A split is advised against a 6 with a minimum count, but basically there is a bust with the dealer here. Split the 10s versus a 5 if the count is +6 or greater.
